A Managers Theory propagated at MATS:
"Don't ever say you can't do something before all your options have exhausted." This instils a sense of never giving up. When others throw their hands up and say "Forget it" I must say "there’s always a solution to every problem. We just have to figure it out." It's funny, but other people usually positively react to this type of enthusiasm and work that much hard in finding a solution to a problem...”
Exito
Exito the yearly management fest of MATS, a clash of the TITANS. B-Schools from across the state participate in the fest. The main aim of the fest is give the student community in management colleges a great learning opportunity by bridging the gap between theory and practice.
Exito-2009
The theme for Exito 2009 was ‘Karmayudh’- focussed on Indian mythology. Can a change be brought in the present world by travelling on the righteous path? Do we need to fight for our society and address issues relating to poverty, illiteracy, corruption etc which have plagued our nation? Emphasis laid on the need for a change in the world and a change which can be brought by the budding managers.
The Inaugural Ceremony of EXITO 2009 was graced by 2 dignitaries from ‘Grameen Koota’ a reputed Micro Finance organisation. The inauguration dais was shared by the Co-founder of ‘Grameen Koota’- Ms. Vinatha M Reddy and the Managing Director of ‘Grameen Koota’, Mr. Suresh Krishna, Prof N V H Krishnan – Dean, MATS Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship.
The Exito 2009 had 6 events:
- Chakravyuh (The Best Manager event)
- Tajja (The HR event)
- Vipaniikriya (The Marketing event)
- Arthashastra (The Finance event)
- Pracchana (Business Quiz)
- Vrnda (Team Building event).
A lot of brainstorming and effort goes into the making of these events. We come up with different rounds in each event and we set high standards for the same.
The participants were competitive and so were the events. |
